We’re pleased to announce the availability of the first version of AGS to support AMD RDNA™ 3 GPUs. AGS 6.1 adds support for those new products, allowing you to detect them from your game or application code, and also comes with a new sample that shows you how to use the DirectX® 12 extensions that AGS supports.
AGS 6.1 also ships new versions of the static libraries that are built with the Visual Studio 2022 toolset, to help you integrate it into any of your games or apps that are also built with that new version of Visual Studio.
So, if your game or app uses AGS in order to query or access extended functionality on the AMD GPUs in yours or your customer’s systems, take a look at the AGS 6.1 release on GitHub.
AMD GPU Services (AGS) Library
The AMD GPU Services (AGS) library provides software developers with the ability to query AMD GPU software and hardware state information that is not normally available through standard operating systems or graphics APIs.
