The AMD FidelityFX™ SDK 1.1.1 is now available on GPUOpen

We are happy to share that AMD FidelityFX Software Development Kit (SDK) 1.1.1 is now available for download, and is also available as a plugin for Unreal Engine 5.1+.

What’s changed?

FidelityFX SDK 1.1.1 is a patch release that includes a number of fixes for issues discovered with FSR 3.1.0. This release also contains all code changes needed for the upcoming release of the Microsoft Game Development Kit (GDK) which will include updated AMD FidelityFX samples as well as the new AMD FSR 3 Frame Interpolation sample.

Our existing AMD FidelityFX™ technologies

AMD FidelityFX™ technologies in the Microsoft GDK

The Microsoft Game Development Kit (GDK) with Xbox Extensions includes several AMD FidelityFX samples that are optimized specifically for Xbox consoles.

Revamped samples

The following GDK FidelityFX samples have been updated to the FidelityFX SDK 1.1.1 to adopt the new SDK library approach to integration using a new GDK backend. Look forward to them being released by the Xbox Advanced Technology Group (ATG).

New FSR 3.1.1 Frame Interpolation sample

We are pleased to announce the new AMDFidelityFX_FSR3FrameInterpolation GDK sample, bringing native FSR 3.1.1 support to Microsoft’s Xbox ecosystem.

This version of FSR 3.1.1 offers some new and novel techniques not possible in a PC desktop environment to enable the most cutting-edge version of our technology to run as efficiently as possible. By making use of asynchronous compute-based workloads and presentation, it is now possible to completely decouple FSR from the main graphics workloads.
