A new version of OCAT is available

After a very busy year of releases on GPUOpen, we’ve got one final update for you in 2020 – Open Capture and Analysis Tool (OCAT), which is now at version 1.6.1!

OCAT is widely used by many to see how well a game is performing on a machine in real-time, and has a low overhead.

This release adds the following features:

  • Support for RDNA™ and RDNA™ 2 GPUs.
    • Updated AGS to 6.0.
  • Resolution information now also gets retrieved in window mode.

OCAT is open source and supports all major APIs on Windows® – Direct3D® 11, 12 and Vulkan®.

It can show an in-game overlay with the current frame rate to give you an at-a-glance overview of instantaneous performance. It also has a detailed analysis mode with historical data captured across multiple frames, for your own off-line analysis.
